Why mini markets must encourage more drive-in shoppers

A woman in her 50s crashed into a mini market while reversing her car in Macalister Road here.

The woman, who is an employee of the mini market, said she panicked upon seeing a woman carrying a child walking behind her car.

Instead of stepping on the brake, she accidentally stepped on the accelerator.

Luckily, nobody was injured in the 9.30am incident yesterday.

The impact of the crash shattered the glass doors and damaged some groceries, a payment counter and racks in the mini market.
