Rich beggar


A 73-year-old woman who usually begs at the Larkin bus terminal has been found to own three accounts in two banks with thousands of ringgit, Johor Baru social welfare officer Manayi Ibrahim told Malaysia Nanban.

She also has an Amanah Saham Bumiputra certificate for RM5,000 and has been increasing her savings weekly.

Flasher beats up woman

A drunk man not only flashed a woman, but later, together with seven others, assaulted her with helmets, reported China Press.

He had earlier unzipped his pants and showed his private parts to the woman in front of her house in Kampung Simee, Ipoh.

The flasher also threatened to rape her if she reported the incident to the police.

Security guards 'chopped up like meat'



Three security guards were slashed with machetes and "chopped up like meat" at a condominium in Cheras here.

Four foreign guards were on duty at the condominium when two men wearing motorcycle helmets attacked the guard- house of Vistaria Residency condominium at 7.30am yesterday. One of them escaped unhurt.

Resident association chairman Bruce Tan, 31, said this was the second attack on the guards in the past month.

Cop beaten, slapped by a woman


A police officer was beaten and slapped by a woman after an accident involved a vehicle driven by the officer concerned, yesterday morning.

Man kidnapped woman ....no, woman kidnapped man


A young woman pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today on two counts of kidnapping and blackmailing of two Bangladeshi men last March.
 
On the first, Sabreena Noor Salleh, 22 allegedly kidnapped Nasir Gazi, 26, a clothing vendor at Durbar Restaurant, Jalan Midah 1, Cheras, here, at 9 am, March 11.
 
She was charged under Section 365 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same Code, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years, or a fine, if convicted.
