Help! There is orang minyak behind my house

A FAMILY is traumatised after several sightings of orang minyak forced them to temporarily move out from their house at Kampung Laksamana in Gombak.

Kamal Bahari Satar, 36, told Sinar Harian that the decision was made after the family was disturbed for five days.

“My sister-in-law repeatedly saw the apparition inside and outside our house,” he said on Tuesday.

Orang minyak, or translated as oily man in Malay, is a supernatural rapist who uses black grease as a night-time camouflage.

Kamal Bahari said only female family members could see the orang minyak.

The apparition had locked family members inside the house late Saturday night.

“We saw a black heap underneath the kitchen table.

“When other residents poked it with a bamboo stick, we could see blood stains,” he said.

According to Kamal Bahari, police also found black footprints outside the house where the alleged incident took place.

He added that his sister-in-law was later treated with alternative therapies after she heard whispers asking her to step outside the house.

“Thankfully, she has recovered but we do not want to take any chances as I have a 22-year-old younger sister,” said Kamal Bahari.

Woman PTD officer hits husband with file and the result is.......

SEPANG: An Administrative and Diplomatic (PTD) officer pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate's Court here Thursday to a charge of hitting her husband with an office file nine months ago.

Kamaliah Basir, 35, was charged with voluntarily causing hurt to Zaihan Md Lani, 48, by hitting him with an office file while in a car at the Persiaran Semarak Api and Persiaran Apec traffic light intersection, Cyberjaya, Sepang, here at 12.45pm on March 3.

She was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code which provides imprisonment for up to a year or fine up to RM2,000 or both, if found guilty.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Aqeeb Lizalman requested that bail be set at RM2,000.

Don't ever jilt a woman or you will turn to ashes

MAKKAL Osai reported that a 28-year-old woman, who was ditched by her lover, had murdered him and burnt his body with the help of her brother and cousin.

Police said the woman, known as Seema, had been in a serious relationship with Mehboob, a married man with four children, over the past two years.

He had allegedly promised to leave his wife for her but went back on his word.

It was reported that Mehboob had tried to stab her a few days earlier.

Police said Mehboob was tricked into a final meeting, where Seema, her younger brother and cousin were waiting.

While he was talking to Seema, he was hit on the head by her younger brother and knocked unconscious.

He was later strangled and burnt and his body was dumped in the nearby forest.

EVEN after divorcing her husband, a single mother of two is still being abused by him, Harian Metro reported.

“We were fine at first, but once our marriage became known to his first wife, he started psychologically torturing me,” Elina, 39, said.

Unable to tolerate the abuse, Elina moved house and asked for a divorce.

However, the man asked for sexual favours in return for RM50 each time.

He even sent Elina’s two sons, aged one and four, out during these “sessions”.

She also claimed to be under the spell of black magic, as she was unable to deny her ex-husband.

“I am even more convinced of this as I have found various types of oil and talisman in his possession,” she said.

Elina lodged a report with the Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association recently regarding the matter.

Motorists will have to look out for “mechanics on wheels”, seen as another threat on the road these days.

These so-called mechanics prey on lone drivers, claiming there is something wrong with their car and offering on-the-spot repairs at exorbitant prices.

“One of their most common tactics is to throw diesel on the wheel of your car, causing it to emit smoke due to the heat and friction,” said City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah.

They would then try to get the attention of the car driver and volunteer to fix the vehicle, he said yesterday.

Once they manage to dupe someone to alight from the car, SAC Ku said the “mechanic” would lead the victim to a deserted area where he would pretend to check the vehicle.The victim would be told that his car parts had malfunctioned. The “mechanic” would offer to replace them for him.

However, the motorist would likely end up with the same part which had been repainted and sold back to him at inflated prices.

Police, who have received several reports about the scam have cautioned motorists to remain in their vehicles and not to be fooled by the “mechanics”.

“They may seem like good Samaritans trying to helping you, but the best thing to do is to ignore them and go to a trusted mechanic,” SAC Ku said.

Journalist T.T. Kitt, 24, said he almost fell victim to the scam while driving along the Federal Highway at 1pm on Thursday (see sidebar).

Another motorist, who declined to be named, said he had a similar experience driving in Jalan Universiti a few months ago.

These motorcyclists, he said, wore T-shirts with the logo of a petrol station and claimed to be their staff.

They took him to an isolated place and tried to sell him car parts for about RM1,000. These were actually parts from his own car which the culprits had repainted in gold.

“I told them I could not pay and they got angry,” he said. “I had to call some friends over before they left.”

A 29-year-old man was fined RM2,000 by the Magistrate's Court here Thursday after he admitted to confining his wife in their home for 11 days.

Rafizam Abdul Rahman of Taman PSJ here pleaded guilty to preventing his wife from leaving the house between 6pm on July 6 and 3.30pm on July 18.

He was charged under Section 340 of the Penal Code that carries a jail term of up to a year and a maximum RM2,000 fine.

Police arrested Rafizam on the same day his wife was freed.

A JEALOUS man damaged his ex-girlfriend's car which was parked at her new boyfriend's house in Kulim, Kedah, Kosmo! reported.

The man and his ex-girlfriend, known only as Tan, 27, are from Bukit Mertajam in Seberang Perai, Penang.

Tan was with her current boyfriend, 26, and his family in their house at Taman Berjaya, Kulim, at 11pm two days ago when her ex-boyfriend smashed the windows and scratched the body of the car.

District police chief Supt Ghuzlan Salleh said police had identified the man.

A GROUP of male sex workers have been scouring for clients in Penang using various social networks, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.

The men placed advertisements on the Internet, stating they were looking for “friends”.

Some of the men even posted their contact numbers and sexy poses of themselves with price tags attached in photographs, the daily reported.

The male sex workers were from China, India, Thailand, Monaco, Australia and New Zealand, it said, adding that they would stay in hotels as guests to avoid being caught in a raid.

They reportedly charged between RM150 and RM250 per session while those from Western countries charged an extra RM100.

However, an investigative reporter found out that these sex workers were willing to mark down the price when he claimed he couldn't afford their rates.

Customers were also told to pay for transport fees if the prostitutes were to provide their “services” outside the hotels where they are based.

Only 15 yrs old but he aready owed thousands to loan sharks

A 15-year-old boy is among 409 borrowers of loans from Ah Long (loan sharks) whose cases have been referred to the MCA Public Complaints Bureau this year.

Bureau chief Datuk Micheal Chong said Monday that although cases of young people borrowing from Ah Long were isolated, the problem should be viewed seriously to prevent more from getting trapped in Ah Long loans.

It is understood that the teenager, who is from here, had borrowed more than RM10,000 from Ah Longs to indulge in online gambling.

KUALA TERENGGANU: A bad odour led a family in Batu Rakit near here to a shocking find a two-metre cobra was in the midst of eating a lizard in a cupboard.

School teacher Karimah Abdul Karim, 31, and her family had caught a strong stench at their home in Kampung Darat at about 3pm on Friday and traced it to a cupboard.

She and her siblings were shocked to see the cobra swallowing the lizard. “We quickly contacted the Civil Defence Department, which came and took away the reptile,” she said.
